Situated in the beautiful grounds belonging to the magnificent mansion which is now the clubhouse. Braid found the rich Devon soil perfect for golf and he took great care to leave some of the fine old trees intact. The Oaks, Limes, Redwoods and Horse Chestnuts helped him to lay out a magnificent golf course.
