I'm Jonathan Owen, an award winning Essex event photographer based in Leigh on Sea, with more than 20 years of professional experience photographing real moments as they happen. Event photography is at the heart of what I do, and I cover events across Essex, including Southend on Sea, Chelmsford, Colchester, Basildon, Brentwood and Rayleigh, as well as London and surrounding areas.

My approach to event photography is natural, story led and unobtrusive. Rather than over directing people, I focus on genuine reactions, atmosphere and the small in between moments that tell the true story of the day. This documentary style works across a wide range of events, from private parties, birthdays and weddings to corporate events, conferences, award ceremonies, charity fundraisers, store launches and festivals.

As an Essex event photographer, I've worked at venues including Hylands House, Chelmsford City Racecourse, The Lawn Rochford, The Roslin Hotel, ExCeL London, the O2 Arena and Emirates Stadium.
