The VCL was set up in 1964 with the express aim of encouraging young riders into the sport with an emphasis on track racing at Herne Hill Velodrome Burbage Road London the home of the club. Over the years the club has moved on from being a feeder club and though track racing is very much its focus with a number of National champions in its ranks a wide range of ages and interests are now catered for.
