In this instalment of my column I'm not going to labour the point of the equipment I use, after all this isn't an advert - I'd like you to keep just one thing in mind. 'Enlightened industry luminaries' keep on about M4/3 cameras like they are some poor relation, I'm not even going to mention some of the ISOs these images were shot on to freeze the motion...I just keep delivering 'acceptable' images! When is the industry going to learn that it's not just about the tools... as long as they are up to muster, that really is all that matters.
I mean, can you imagine finishing a beautiful Gordon Ramsey meal and saying - "Gordon, thank you, that was lovely, I bet you have a fantastic oven". Or more so to any skilled tradesman ... "Fab wall mate, bet you've got a super trowel" - simply ludicrous! Now in this instalment of my column, because of the nature of the photography we aren't going to get lighting diagrams and behind-thescenes images; this is just an opportunity to show off what the OM-D is capable of and to give you my list of 'top tips' that hopefully will help you enjoy your foray into the world of shooting sport.
Like all things photographic shooting this type of imagery, I believe, is all the better for good preparation. This is a simple fact of photographic life! Damian's TOP TIPS:
